The Importance of Spay/Neuter

Female cats can have kittens as early as 6 months of age
and can reproduce every 3 months.

Males are generally fully mature at 9 months of age.

Every year thousands of cats and kittens are euthanized
because there aren't enough homes to accomodate the homeless.
Adopt A Cat Foundation is dedicated to putting a stop to this needless destruction
by supporting the spay/neuter of all felines before they reach maturity.

In this way we are helping to control pet over-population in our community.

Spay/Neuter does work!
According to our local humane society,
they euthanized 6192 cats/kittens in 1992
while in fiscal year 2004 the number they euthanized dropped to 2753.
